Hello, welcome to the September 2022 eToro Portfolio Update.
My name is Vincenzo Stefanini and my eToro username is vincenzost.

In September my portfolio closed in profit at +6.64%, despite the overall market closing negative.
I was able to make a profit last month because I opened some short positions on the US stock market.
We are gradually recovering from the negative performance and I am still aiming to close this year in profit.
The positive side is that I am outperforming Bitcoin and all the other cryptos.
In fact, Bitcoin is down more than 60% this year, so I was able to reduce the drawdown of my portfolio and reduce the risk score.
Anyway, don’t worry, I am doing my best to make more profit in the upcoming months.
I know that is frustrating for some of you to see your investment go down, but please be patient and keep the copy open for the long term.
Remember that in the last 2 years I have made huge gains, so if you invest in the long term, you have more chances to make a profit.

September has been a negative month overall for both stocks and cryptos.
As mentioned, I was able to make a profit despite this drop.
In terms of fundamental analysis, the Federal Reserve will keep increasing the interest rates for some time, until inflation will calm down.
Because of this, I remain defensive right now and I am keeping the portfolio risk low.

Last month, I have closed many positions in profit, mainly on stocks.
I am keeping some short positions on stocks open.
Right now I am waiting for the market to show what will be the next direction.
I am waiting for the stock prices to increase further before opening new short positions.
I am not planning to open new long positions for the time being.
I have also plenty of cash available in my balance to use for new trades.

The inflation in the US is still high and will probably remain high for some time and this will force the Federal Reserve to keep increasing the interest rates, at least until the end of this year.
The FED increased the interest rates by 0.75% in September and economists are expecting an increase between 0.50% and 0.75% in the November meeting.
So, I’m expecting the current bearish trend on cryptos and stocks will continue, until the economic data will start to change direction.
For this reason, I remain cautious and defensive.
However, we could see a rally, since we reached oversold conditions recently and the investor’s sentiment is very negative.
I am waiting for prices to confirm the next direction and I will trade accordingly.
Regardless of what happens to prices, I am expecting to make gains and hopefully, we can close this year in profit.
So, if you are already a copier, remain calm and keep the copy open.
Remember that this is an investment for the long term.
So, even if in the short term my portfolio goes down, in the long term my portfolio has always made a profit.
I want to thank all the people that are trusting me and are still investing in my portfolio. Some people started copying my portfolio more than 2 years ago and are still in profit right now!

I am an Elite Popular Investor on eToro, but I have been downgraded temporarily to Champion because of the drop in the assets under copy.
Currently, about 365 people are investing in my portfolio.
I am managing in total of around $400,000.
Some investors have stopped the copy recently, but don’t make the same mistake.
They sold at the wrong time and they are going to miss the next profit opportunities.
The best thing to do is to keep the copy open and let the portfolio do the work for you.
If your copy is down a lot, consider adding more funds to the copy. In this way, you will reduce the average buying price and therefore make more profit once the market recovers. Remember that you are not really losing if you don’t sell and the market always recovered in the long term, so, if you don’t need the money immediately, it’s better to keep the copy open.
I managed to reduce my risk score down to 4, which is great.
Also, in the past 2 years, my portfolio has made more than 500% profit, in other words, 6 times the initial investment.

My goals for this year are:

• to keep the risk score to 5 or lower
• protect the capital invested and reduce portfolio drawdown
• to close this year in profit
• increase the assets under management to over $500,000
